Speaker Bite Me - Spot 2007, Musikhuset, Store Sal, Saturday

When noise is the sweetest music you can imagine

A set of eight numbers was all that Speaker Bite Me managed to play in Musikhuset at a concert where the primary criticism must be that it was too short.

With the audience floating to the sound of waves, while the last are finding their seats, they open with “Fistful of Air”, and right from the beginning they have a sophisticated and delicately matched reflection of noise, which will satisfy anybody that is not searching for anything to be nice, just to be nice.

“Bongo Bizarre” and “Belle de Boskoop” follow, and it becomes clear that tonight’s set will consist of songs from the bands latest album, the sublime “Action Painting”, that is positively different from anything any other Danish band has ever contributed.

Speaker Bite Me deserves to be compared to the great and innovative artists in the history of music.
