1 2 3 4, SPOT Festival 2007, Voxhall, Friday

Melodic concert with promising tones

The boys behind the eye catching and somewhat curious name 1234 gave the audience an insight to their enormous potential, when they opened the SPOT stage at Voxhall Friday night.

Together the band and their charismatic lead singer achieved their absolute finest this night. The concert offered elegant tempo shifts and a musical surplus, that wasn’t to be ignored. Especially the song with the characteristical lyrics “1,2,3,4,5,6,6,6” made clear the bands talent.

The sound is a comfortable mix of characteristic indie guitar, keyboards and some pop tendencies, all held together by the deep but still piercing voice of front man Rune Hedemann.

Perhaps the bands continuous tempofilled sound becomes a bit monotonous with time, but the effective breaks, powerful instrumental pieces and sometimes very sudden endings keeps it all moving.
