Changes and additions to the concert programmeMay 31, 2007

Mik Stegger |

Eivør Pálsdottir performs with Irish elite
backing at SPOT
Late additions to this year’s festival programme include a Danish rock heavyweight get-together with Boat Man Love, Peter Sommer and Henrik Hall gathered on the same stage, Eivør Pálsdottir performing with a band that's a veritable "who's who" of Irish music, and Norwegian americana-heartbreak troubadour William Hut. See their respective entries in the band section and the printed timetable for further info.

Budam, who was originally scheduled to play as Eivør's warm-up in the same concert slot has now got his own full length gig. On Thursday's opening night, Copenhagen groove-meisters Vincent Van Go Go will perform a one-off gig together with Brazilian percussion ensemble Corpos Percussivos at Musikcafeen in downtown Aarhus. This supplements an already packed opening night programme, the details of which can be seen here. Also, as part of the continuation school band contest AFTRYK 2007, the young lads in Superego will perform at the festival.

It is also worth noting, that all singer-songwriter concerts have been moved to Lille Sal in The Concert Hall from Filuren. Singer-songwriter Lena Andersson who was to play the Nordic Co-write project has been forced to cancel – fellow Faroese Islander Maria Guttesen will take her place.

The Sound+Literature concert featuring Turbulens and Janus Kodal has been moved forward 15 minutes, and will thus take place at Kunstbygningen B, Friday at 19.15. Frankas gig at Gran Lille will start ten minutes later than stated in the printed schedule, which means showtime Friday at 19.55.

Finally, we would like to point out that the SPOT Festival stages have limited capacities. It’s therefore advisable to show up in good time before the start of the concert.
