If the genre label indie prog pop makes any sense, Rubik could very well be one of the bands in that genre – together with bands like Mew, Elbow, and Radiohead. The five Finns’ combination of ethereal beauty, ominous moods and expressive distortion has earned them the Finnish critics’ admiration, and their many gigs have made them an extremely tight live band.
