Drawing on the surf music scene of the 60s, El Ray have done their part for half a decade to make Copenhagen sound like the California coastline. The quartet has the guts to blow up the stern conventions of the genre, updating it with elements of contemporary rock. Still, the keynote is that of surf, because as they say in the band, “Better surf than sorry”.
